With over ten years of operation, Wendel's has become a household name in Taipei. The German owner and his Taiwanese wife are clearly passionate about the food they make, and it shows. The regular bistro menu includes freshly baked pork knuckles served with hot German sourdough bread, bratwurst, and schnitzel. The kitchen also prepares a seasonal menu to highlight the best ingredients of the season.

During the warmer months, it's nice to sit with a book in the beirgarden over a pint of your favorite brew and a warm pastry. If you're in Taipei during the month of October, Wendel's typically hosts special Oktoberfest events.
