Sky Venture Montreal is the only parachute-less sky diving centre in Canada. It's perfectly safe, and an exhilarating way to spend some time with the kids. How often do you get the chance to fly with the kids, without a plane? At Sky Venture Montreal you do just that. A massive fan (group of fans? Jet? What?) points skyward from the floor, and once you've been properly trained you dive off a tower high above the floor just as you would jump out of an airplane (with a parachute). With winds upwards of 100 mph, once you are airborne the experience is exactly the same as a sky diver's, flying through the air before the 'chute opens. As the ride comes to an end, the fans slow down enough to let you slowly sink, and the last few feet you are greeted by the staff again, who help you land safely. Your kids will never be able to say you didn't find them something exciting to do while in town. Prices start at $60 for training plus two jumps.
