Cartel Taco is a favorite street food cart that's making its rounds in the city. They use only the best ingredients to make up its concise menu of beef or pork tacos. The pork butt is free range and from a local farm, Fraser Valley Farms. The beef ribeye is also free range and grass fed from Pemberton Meadows Farm. They are both prepared in the Korean style of Bulgogi and marinated and then braised and barbecued to perfection. When the meat is ready, it's placed onto a hand-made corn tortilla with some onion and cilantro. Cartel Taco uses locally sourced ingredients and prepares their own kimchi and salsas in-house. If you're a gluten free or vegetarian, you're in luck because they offer a tasty green papaya salad with kimchi vinaigrette and toasted pepitas, while the corn tortillas are gluten free.
