Description:

The Cathedral was built where an old parish was built in the XVII Century. This new construction was finished in 1731, with 5 naves and only one tower. The dome is made with talavera from Puebla and from the ceiling hang Baccarat candelabra, that belonged to Maximiliano of Habsburgo.
In the altar, Our Lady of the Assumption, patron of Veracruz, oversees everything that happens in her church and her city.
