Miro is the closest vineyard to Onetangi Beach, the best of Waiheke's beaches and a playground in the summer. Casita Miro is the excellent Tapas restaurant on the premises. The menu changes daily (almost) and you can always ask the chef for "something special" from his imagination. There is no fronting for image here, just solid, tasty food in a great location. Ona nice day you can have a glass of their award winning Rose and look out over Onetangi Beach and wonder why you would be anywhere else. While the Red's are what they are known for, you will get an outstanding Pinot Gris and a good Chardonnay here as well. Unfortunately, I'm not the only one to be recommending this restaurant, so be sure to call for reservations (+64 9 372-7854).
