Passage Rock is the holder of more awards than any other winery on Waiheke. It is located in an marine reserve of Te Matuku Bay on the eastern side of the island a bit of the beaten path. However, once you arrive you will be delightfully surprised with the quality of the food. While some prefer to be more formal, I prefer to select from the pizza menu and enjoy the experience of being so close to the vines while dining. The hours vary according to season, so call ahead to ensure they are open (+64 9 372-7257).
