Beer lovers may have a varied palate when it comes to their favorite beer, but there's a good chance you will really like one of the local brews at Waimea Brewing Company. Handcrafted beers are brewed on site in copper clad and stainless steel tanks, and diners have the option of sitting inside at the bar or out on the porch for a meal.The mostly seafood menu offers a variety of dishes, most with a local flair such as sweet potato fries. The food is good, although they seem to be out of certain dishes sort of often, like the fries. It's still a nice stop with a plantation atmosphere as the brewery is located on the grounds of the Waimea Plantation Cottages, a hotel that is composed of an array of original plantation homes. Hawaiian arts and crafts are sold nightly by locals on the lanai, and live music is offered on special nights.
The brewery doesn't offer growlers but the food can be brought to the rooms or is available by take out if you can't sit down.
