Located on Gulangyu Island, Chinoy's Grill serves traditional Filipino cuisine and serves as an extension of the active Filipino community in Xiamen. Influenced by the Chinese Americans, and the Spanish, Filipnio food is a fusion of several cultural heritages, and the restaurant serves dishes that reflect this. Braised meats in soy sauce and vinegar and tangy vegetable dishes are favorites of regulars. Other favorites are the grilled dishes, such as chicken barbecued and served with sauce as well as savory Fillipino pastas. The restaurant is small encouraging a social atmosphere, and a karaoke machine is provided for those who would like a little more entertainment.
