Description:

La Cenaduria is a group of restaurants situated along an alleyway in downtown Zihuatanejo. It is a hub of authentic Mexican classics that draws crowds looking for a lot of flavor for just a few pesos. While most restaurants in town honor the tradition of only serving pozole soup on Thursdays, La Cenaduria restaurants serve it nightly. This has earned the row the nickname "Pozole Alley" among a lot of expatriants and returning tourists.

Beyond pozole, popular menu items at all of the restaurants includes beef tostadas, chicken sopes and enchiladas, both verde and molé. Although there are seafood options on the menu, La Cenaduria is more notably farm-based and serves up recipes that inspire nostalgic notions of "abuelitas" cooking for their large Mexican families. You won't pay more than 50 pesos for a dish, even for a whole roasted chicken.
