  • Although Aix-en Provence is a little on the expensive side when it comes to good cuisine, it’s well worth the extra bucks. Food here is local, fresh, and deliciously French. Covered in rosemary and butter, these Southern French delicacies redefine eating. The town’s historic charm extends to its food, and most restaurants offer classically French fare. In the heart of the historic district, sample quaint eateries such as Chez Maxime. A little removed from the historic district are busting restaurant districts. Head to Amophitryon or Icone for elegant French food. Regardless of where your taste buds direct you, make sure to stick to local cuisine; it’s their specialty! Aix-en Provence also has a distinctly African take on cuisines, and there are several restaurants that combine French and African cooking. One of the best fusion hot spots in town it Table Marocaine. It’s hard to go wrong choosing a restaurant in the South of France. With fresh, local ingredients and a heavy hand for butter and cream, you’re sure to find as much delicious French food as your heart desires!
