Barcelona is not only known for its culinary expertise and vision, but it also boasts some incredibly romantic restaurants. Due to much of the medieval layout within the city's old quarter, restaurants are nestled in some of the most hidden places, behind alleyways and courtyards, creating a mystical yet cozy vibe before you're even entered.
Our number number two pick, is a sure bet if you're looking to for a good 'date place.' Intimate, with candle lit tables and a wide variety of international and Asian dishes, this is the best place to bring out of towners, first dates or a close group of friends.
On the other side of the old city, in the Gothic Quarter, our number four pick screams romance. El Salon, has some of the best fish in the city (the tuna is amazing!), with a wide range of international wines and an elegantly set up patio which is perfect in the summer and best of all, the patio takes reservations, which is rare in Barcelona.
Slightly pricier, but definitely worth it if you're up for spending a bit more, our number seven pick, is a Michelin star restaurant. Comerc 24, known for their delicious food, high end service and classy decor, if you're looking to impress this is an excellent choice.
