Barcelona is by far one of the best places to take children, as you don't even need to find special, 'kid friendly' venues, for the entire city is like an exciting ride. The youngsters can keep themselves entertained by simply walking down the street and taking in all of the 'characters' so inherent to Barcelona's culture.
If you're looking for the top kid friendly things to do in Barcelona, look no further than Las Ramblas. One of the most famous streets in the world, this walkway stretches from the sea to Plaza Catalunya and has the most random, eclectic and unique art forms, merchandise and street performers. It's a fun walk for kids and can take anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours, depending on how long you spend watching the shows and performances.
Our number five pick is the best place for kids, as long as you're ok with a slight sugar high. Xocoa Chocolate factory is a fun way to explore a cool store, buy some gourmet chocolate and keep the kids excited and full for a while!
If it's a rainy day in Barcelona, there's no better place to go than the aquarium. Barcelona's aquarium has a large variety of underwater life and it's a perfect day for the family, especially if the sun's not out and you're looking for an indoor activity.
