The resort, built around an 18th Century mansion known as Marine Villa, features rooms with English horsehair beds with spring mattresses, kitchens, hardwood floors and 7.5-meter (24-foot) windows with ocean views. The pool area overlooking the beach is one of the most frequently photographed views in the Caribbean. Once a favorite hideaway for the rich and famous, the American cowboy, Wild Bill Hickock, was among the first to stay at this hotel.
