Description:
Location, location, location. Indochine is across the street from Xu, one of the hippest bars in town, and a couple hundred meters from the top hotels. That being said, Indochine is in the thick of all the downtown action. It's about a tenth the cost of a room at the Park Hyatt, but you get what you pay for. The lobby is a dim, unwelcoming cave. The elevator says it can hold eight people, but I would never ride in it with more than two guests (including me). Some of the rooms have a pervasive cigarette smell, and bathrooms are on the small side. But everything is neat and tidy and you get cozy duvets, rather than the flimsy bedspreads offered at other budget hotels.
