- It's hard to believe that up until fairly recently Saigon was badly served with quality five-star hotels. That's certainly not the case today with shimmering new luxury options coming online as rapidly as a speeding motorcycle taxi. This riverside venue is as good as any. For a start you've got the bonus of tremendous views from the upper levels. The Saigon River will never count among the ranks of the world's great waterways, but the sight of traffic chugging up and down its murky course remains ineffably romantic. As well as the view, the hotel nails it in several other ways too. Rooms are clean and comfortable while the breakfast buffet is regarded as one of the best in town. Other trimmings include a state of the art fitness center and a pool while the hotel has several fine restaurants on-site including Japanese, Chinese and an American style steakhouse.
