Dam Sen Park and Water Park

• If you are expecting the kind of bells and whistles available at multi-million dollar waterparks elsewhere, you are probably not going to be impressed by Dam Sen. It is not the best maintained-facility in the world and the quaintness of some of the attractions is accentuated by the rust that has been allowed to encroach in places.  Nevertheless, in a city where leisure space is about as rare a find as a western male expat who doesn't believe he has suddenly metamorphosed into a bristling sex God, this retro style funpark is good for a few thrills. Indeed, some of the slides here are excellent. Pick of the bunch is the 'Boomerang', the park's newest slide, while other highlights include portentously named attractions such as 'Black Thunder' and 'Kamikaze'. There are plenty of restaurants and snack bars on site too making this an easy place to kill a good few hours.
