  • Description:

    • The World Peace Café is a unique establishment that is located in a narrow alleyway in the always busy Wanchai district. The restaurant, which is located under a Buddhist meditation center, was founded by the renowned Buddhist monk Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso who belongs to the Kadampa Meditation Center. The World Peace Café occupies a large, airy space and features a menu that offers set meals for lunch and dinner. The café's constantly changing menu features hearty, vegetarian fare which is crafted out of organic ingredients that are prepared and served by a staff made up entirely of volunteers. Also on offer at the café are freshly-squeezed juices, specialty teas and fair trade coffees along with delicious vegan desserts. -Anjeeta Nayar
