If there is anything the people of Bozeman love more than skiing, it is definitely eating out at one of Bozeman's Best Restaurants. Since no one can spend all of their time on the slopes, the best restaurants are always well attended.
At the center of life in downtown, MacKenzie River Company, our number one pick, is one of the first restaurants to fill up on weekends and during special downtown events. The whole family can share a pizza, or everyone can choose from a fantastic selection of salads, sandwiches, and more. Reasonably priced, MacKenzie River Pizza has been a local favorite for years.
Since this is prime beef country, we had to be sure to include the best steak house in the area. Unlike other chain restaurants posing as authentic Montana steak houses or deliberately stuffy establishments, The Mint Bar has been locally owned since 1904, and has been dishing up the finest of Montana beef, bison, and more ever since.
While primarily an organic grocery, the Community Food Co-Op also features a superb deli, coffee house, and juice bar. Locals prize the Co-Op for its focus on local and regionally produced goods. The Co-Op is probably the best place in town for a quick, healthy bite to eat.
Craving something less good for you? Then try some of the griddle classics out at the Stockyard Café. The menu doesn't adhere to the organic, gluten-free, vegan dogma of other Bozeman restaurants, and is more like the cowboy country of the older generation Montanan. The café has inconsistent hours and a hard to find location, but the fantastic food is well worth the effort.
Whether you choose to eat at one of our Top Ten Best Restaurants in Bozeman, or at another of Bozeman's finest, you are sure to find locally raised meats, produce, and dairy-and a healthy dose of local pride.
