Donisl, one of Munich's oldest beer halls, also has nearly the perfect location, Marienplatz. Marienplatz is the central square of Munich where every tourist goes to see the famous glockenspiel. On the Western side of the square Donisl could be any café on the square, but when you enter its doors you realize you are in an historic institution. This place has been operating since 1715 and serves traditional Bavarian food with some of the best prices in town. Given its location and atmosphere, Donisl is an absolute steal and a great choice for anyone looking for a nice Bavarian meal.

Loved the duck!!

Loved the duck, my husband loved the warm potato salad. The meatloaf he said was just so-so. Enjoyed sitting in the square eating our meal.
