NileGuide Expert tip:
If you like flea markets, there is nothing quite like the one on the first Saturday of the fest, it is massive and you can find nearly anything imaginable.
Frühlingsfest is quite simply the spring festival.
Held on the grounds of the Oktoberfest, this baby brother is more frequented by younger Münchners than tourists. It only covers 1/3rd the ground of the Oktoberfest, but has similar rides, beer tents, and beer. It is a celebration of the warmer weather that begins with Munich's largest flea market of the year, held on the first Saturday of the Frühlingsfest. This is a free entry event, is family friendly, has rides for all ages and food of many varieties similar to carnivals and fairs held worldwide.
