The Chanticleer in the signature rose-covered cottage in 'Sconset has the atmosphere of a private club and beautiful garden seating. Owners Susan Handy and chef Jeff Worster, who also own Black Eyed Susan's , run this charming place as a "brasserie moderne." Wonderful inventions like cod beignets and traditional appetizers like moules frites share the menu with creative versions of steak au poivre and seared Nantucket sea scallops. Tart au citron is among the stellar desserts, but you can also end your meal with a plats fromage with three types of succulent cheeses. How French!
