Upstairs, bands play a varied but always loud, energetic and dance-inducing selection. A nice getaway from the Union Square glitz is the Tunnel Top. It is a classy dive, an informal place without the scent of stale beer or the sticky floors. El Rio is a self-proclaimed "dive" but is in fact one of the hipper bars in the Outer Mission and its status as a DINO (dive-in-name-only) is further reinforced by its location two doors down from Naps Only, one of the most epic true dive bars in the City.
