  • Shanghai's quirky and offbeat nightlife offers some of the most exciting and oddball fun in town. Shanghai is the city that never sleeps in China, and with so many amazing, well-known bars the city's offbeat hang outs can get overshadowed. While on vacation in Shanghai, you should make the time to check out at least one of the city's offbeat nightlife activities.

    To get into the swing of things, sign up for the Shanghai Pub Crawl, where you'll get the opportunity to enjoy several of the hottest little secret pubs and bars around Shanghai. Organized by experts, this is a great way to get into the groove of things and get to know some other folks in town.

    The Shelter is another great place for a night on the town. You'll find a rocking, raging group of people eager to make every night count. The shelter is an impeccable example of Shanghai's amazing offbeat nightlife.

    Mural Bar, like Shelter, is a great little lounge where you'll find locals and expats relaxing while reading good books and enjoying eachother's company. The bar starts to rock at night, but during the day you'll find a nice place to relax.

    Mao is a raging club, one that really gets out of control late at night (or early in the morning, depending on how you view it). Time Passage is an equally amazing hang out, but doesn't get as loud or rowdy.

    Aqua Bar and Whisk specialize in two specific things, but you'll have to get out of the tired and traditional places you've always frequented and try these two unique establishments. Okay, I'll blow the secret, Whisk specializes in chocolate and Aqua in vodka.
