Chilli Padi Nonya Restaurant

Description:

  • Peranakan food is essentially a blend of ingredients borrowed from Chinese and Malay dishes, and this fusion is said to be the best of all Singapore cuisines. Dishes like Beef Rendang, Udang Sambal (chilli prawns) or Curry Chicken are cheap and tasty. Alcoholic beverages are not served. Study the nostalgic pictures of the Peranakans as traditional music entertains. However, with the mild air conditioning, it may get a little warm and stuffy sometimes. Chef Jolly Wee, a Peranakan known to run cooking classes, manages the restaurant.
