• This great, little cafe/resto/art space is very popular with both expats and locals, especially during the spring and summer months. Just a short walk from JR Takadanobaba station, down a non-descript laneway, Ben's is a chill little oasis from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo's main streets. Offering a mostly western menu, as well as coffees, teas, and a variety of alcohol and other beverages, it's not uncommon to pop in while business meetings, book readings, art exhibitons, open mic nights or indie films are going on. It's easy to just meander in for a pint and end up hanging out for quite a while. Smokers can chill outdoors, and don't forget to say hi to Yoshiko, Ben's friendly owner. - Stephen Lebovits
