- This delightful inn is situated on tiny Nakanoshima Island in the middle of Katsuura Bay. Although the island is small, it boasts six hot springs. The offers guests a choice of fully-equipped Japanese or Western-style rooms. The indoor segregated baths are in large porcelain pools and feature great ocean views through the large windows. The outdoor baths are incredible, with split-level pools that are so close to the surf that you can almost feel the spray. The water, famous for softening skin and classified as sulfur, is great for detoxifying the skin and aiding circulatory problems.
