- Housed in a building which used to be a private home, Tamasaka might be a little bit difficult to find. However, once inside, its unique layout provides an intimate and private setting. The largest room has a counter with only 10 spots allowing the patron to view food preparation and overlooking the garden, and there are 6 small rooms which can be reserved for smaller parties. The decor is simple and encourages patrons to pay attention to the food. The food is kaiseki, a style similar to Western haute cuisine consisting of many courses with beautiful presentation.
