Japanese Calligraphy Morning Tour from Tokyo

• Discover the skill and philosophy of Japanese calligraphy, one of Japan's most respected arts. On this morning tour from Toyko you'll learn how to write Japanese characters with a traditional calligraphy brush, and discover the spiritual dimensions of this beautiful art form.

  You'll be picked up by coach from selected Tokyo hotels and driven to the Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal. Accompanied by your local English-speaking guide, you'll depart here at 9:00am to travel by public transport to the Tokyo Shogei Gakuen, a calligraphy college.
  
  Here you'll learn about the ancient Japanese art of calligraphy, and be taught how to write the Japanese characters for "heart" and "peace". You will also hear about the history and meaning of calligraphy.
  
  The tour concludes at midday at the JR Yoyogi Station, where your guide will direct you back to your hotel.
