Just because you're on vacation doesn't mean that you have to break the bank. Vancouver has plenty of choice when it comes to budget dining and you won't be strapped for options or cash. There are many great value noodle houses, sushi joints, cafés and street vendors scattered for you to enjoy some tasty nosh.
French food doesn't have to break the bank and Les Faux Bourgeois makes the list because it serves impeccable food, a fine atmosphere and keeps your budget in check. It's not as cheap as grabbing a hot dog from a street vendor, but if you're looking for a fabulous dinner for a reasonable price, this will do the trick.
Vij's sister restaurant, Rangoli, will give you the chance to taste some of Vij's rave-worth Indian food in a much more casual atmosphere and without the very long wait. If you don't have time to sit down and eat in Rangoli, they have freezers filled with meals that are ready for you to take home, heat and enjoy!
Guu has multiple locations around Vancouver and the price point of this Japanese eatery will leave you enough money leftover to enjoy some attractions around town. The idea behind this restaurant is small plates to share. So, the more people you have, the more food you can order and share the bill with.
"Street meat", as we often call it is definitely a cheap way to go when it comes to filling your stomach and it's hard to miss the smoking carts on every corner; let the smell of grilling meat lead the way. But, if you really want to experience a Vancouver foodie landmark, visit Japadog for one of their Japanese inspired creations.
Nuba is a bang for your buck, no matter if it's for a quick lunch or a leisurely dinner. This Lebanese food is made of top quality ingredients and is sure to satisfy all the vegans, vegetarians and carnivores in your life. Not to mention, they're expanding and have multiple locations across Vancouver.
Vancouverites like to eat, and eat well, so there's no shortage of good quality eats for a reasonable toll.
