Vancouver is well known for its Asian cuisine and you can be sure that you will find some of the best sushi, dim sum, hot pot and other Asian delights in this fair city. The city is rich in multi-cultural flavor and this is extended throughout the city's restaurant choices; Malaysian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese...the list goes on!
Sushi is a Vancouver staple and when you're in the city, it's the perfect opportunity to take advantage of Japanese cuisine. Miku Restaurant is on the pricier side of Japanese options, but it's mouth-watering in every way imaginable.
Kintaro is one another place that has a cult following and you know you have hit the right spot when you see the line of people waiting to get their hands on the freshly pulled, yummy noodles in a hot broth that will warm you on a rainy day. If you feel like comparing noodles in the city, hit up Legendary Noodle; they're unforgettable.
Izakaya's are the Japanese version of Spanish tapas and Hapa Izakaya is a favorite amongst Vancouverites and it's easy to get your fix at any of the three locations downtown. Not mentioned, but a must-go is Kingyo Izakaya on Denman Street. Delicious food and a fun atmosphere. While on the subject of izakayas, Guu with Garlic is a tasty option and much more casual than the others.
Phnom Penh Restaurant is a bit of a hole in the wall, but they serve the very authentic Vietnamese and Cambodien dishes that will both satisfy and elate your taste buds.
