Across the globe, Mexican cuisine is a favorite amongst many hungry diners. Here in Vancouver, we are lucky enough to have a number of restaurants that serve up quick and tasty, and slow and savoring dishes.
Lolita's makes our number one spot because it hits the nail on the head across the board. The atmosphere is small and intimate, but fun and lively and the food is fabulously delicious. They make the best ceviche in town, so make sure to grab an order of it. Lolita's sister restaurant is located on The Drive and Me & Julio's menu is pretty much the same as Lolita's. So if you're not down town, but craving stellar cuisine head over to The Drive. Me & Julio's has the same atmosphere as Lolita's, but it's much larger and you may wish to go there if you have a larger group. Portions at both places are large and ingredients are always quality, so it's definitely worth the money.
La Taqueria is another small spot that's more of a quick in and out idea, but their tacos will save you a trip to Mexico. If you've had authentic tacos down there, these puppies are the closest thing North of the boarder. If you're looking for more unique flavors that you would be more inclined to find down South, you will find it at La Taqueria. The price is also right and you can eat on a budget and leave satisfied.
Cobre offers a more contemporary experience of tapas and it's a great venue to go with friends and try out a bunch of dishes to share. Located in trendy Gastown, it's a perfect spot to start an evening before venturing out to one of Gastown's hotspots.
Enjoy some Mexican cuisine at any of these locations and you'll leave singing arriba!
