Will Arnett, an ostentatious gold prospector from the east, built the Arnett-Fullen House
as a shining example of Gothic architecture in 1877. At the time, the posh home cost more than three times as much as the average home did in Boulder. During the early 1990s Historic Boulder purchased the estate, and it is now open to the public year round, with tours offered during the summer.
The Leanin' Tree Museum of Western Art
is one of the largest collections of Western art in the nation and features 93 artists and an array of paintings and bronze sculptures. The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art
is a multidisciplinary museum that was created in 1972 to exhibit the work of contemporary artists. Located in a historic two-story warehouse, it has since evolved into an exciting venue where one can expect to see almost anything art-related.
