Cool Things To Do in Bryce Canyon National Park

What are the best cool things to do in Bryce Canyon? The famous hikes...the secret hikes...the unexpected hikes. What makes them cool activities to do in Bryce Canyon? The hot tips you'll get about them here!

Full Moon Hikes are quite popular. Why? Because they are quite cool. Come on. You get to hike at night, by the light of the full moon, pretend you see kinda spooky shapes in the hoodoo shadows, and hear all sorts of lunar trivia from a "Dark Ranger." What could be cooler than that? Well, the wintertime ranger-led Snowshoe Hikes are literally cooler! Also, Bryce Canyon offers use of snowshoes free of charge for that hike.

How about trees that might be thousands-yes, thousands-of years old? The Bristlecone Loop Trail, located at a heady 9,000 feet in elevation, offers you some up close and personal time with these ancient giants. Check out the twisted, gnarled shapes the trunks have been formed into by centuries of their windblown sentinel status way up high. Now, that's cool.

Okay, we admit that Fairyland Point isn't a hike. You can drive right to it. However, it gets coolness status because it offers some of the most unique views in this already very unique park. Take some snaps of the craziest-looking hoodoos (rock formations) you've ever seen, post them in your online album, and your friends will definitely think you've been somewhere pretty cool.

And we included some longer hikes, like the Under-the-Rim Trail, because they pass through amazing back country that few see, and will likely earn you some serious coolness credit because you have to strap on a backpack and hiking boots to experience them.
