Description:

Nomad is a decent, though slightly annoying, bar on the rooftop of the King Hotel in Dokki.

It's a spacious, nicely decked out rooftop bar, with sort of mock castle walls along one side of the roof. As well as alcohol, Nomad also serves shisha pipes, which is enough to make it a good option for a chilled out drink. Nomad serves food as well, though it's mediocre in quality and way over-priced.

The annoying thing about Nomad is the service – it just isn't that competent. They also have a tendency to run out of beer (and sometimes shisha), and to screw up the bill at the end of the night.

Although Nomad can get quite busy, it's not usually that lively. This doesn't stop the management from blasting out an eclectic mix of full volume pop. The exception to this is if  there are tour groups in the bar: the King Hotel is a popular hotel with tour operators, so you may find yourself in the midst of an impromptu pre or post-tour party!

When all is said and done, this part of Dokki isn't exactly bursting with viable drinking options, so Nomad might well be your best bet. It's definitely at its best when it's not too crowded.
