Just like Moulin Rouge bohemian with absinthe.
Basement, 65 Wyndham street,
NileGuide Expert tip:
Bad mobile phone reception because the bar is 4 levels in the basement.
Historically, the boudoir formed part of the private suite of rooms of lady, for bathing and dressing adjacent to her bedchamber, being the female equivalent of the male cabinet. In last periods, the boudoir was used as private drawing room, and was used for other activities, such as embroidery or spending time with one's romantic partner. This bar is traditional opulence with modern kitsch and psychedelia.
The space is wrapped head to toe in vintage wallpaper embellished with framed Renaissance-era paintings, art deco mirrors and a tasteful mishmash of random paraphernalia, including an antelope head and golden Buddha statues.
Dressed up like a 1930s absinthe parlor, expect some of the city's most innovative cocktails, created by Frenchie Mixologist Max Traverse, who's fresh from a stint in some of London's top watering holes.
