Landmarks in Lima

What makes Lima such a good destination? A lot of things. But Lima has some quite distinctive spots that you won't find anywhere else. So let's explore a few of these signature landmarks as a fresh start.

Of course, first place, the Cerro San Cristóbal (San Cristobal Hill), the guardian of the city, and its rich history as well as its privileged panoramic view of the city.

Then, two attractions that gather locals and visitors as well: the beaches at the Circuito de Playas and the colorful Magic Water circuit, specially at nights.

And of course the historical places that give us an idea of life in the ancient times in Lima: Huacas Huallamarca and Pucllana, located in San Isidro and Miraflores, with their site museums and even a restaurant in the latter.

You cannot miss the most representative landmark from the Spanish foundation of this city: Plaza Mayor, the actual place where Lima was established. Another interesting yet more modern place is Plaza San Martin, that features a monument to General Jose de San Martin, an independence hero.
