Theater in Oslo

Theaters are a popular past-time in Oslo. Most productions are in Norwegian, but every once in a while, plays are put on in foreign languages, like English. Many theaters are located near main street Karl Johan, with the venerable Nationaltheatret as the main stage. Several avantgarde theatres are scattered around the city as well.
