Delfshaven

Situated on the bank of the river Maas, Delfshaven  as the name implies (Port of Delft in English), is the Shipping district of Rotterdam. This area managed to escape the bombing during the World War II and the oldest building here has been converted into the Museum De Dubbelde Palmboom -  showcasing the life of marine workers and craftsmen. The port offers a splendid view with ships lining on both the sides, adding to the historical feel of the place.
