NileGuide Expert tip:

A fantastic place for romance for two, or a leg of beast feast for 20 to celebrate a big occasion.

Description:

Incanto has made a name for itself, and executive chef Chris Cosentino, through its enchanted use of offal, the parts of the animal that are usually simply discarded. If everyone could make such magic with these tasty bits of beef and pork, it would be that much more of a shame that they so often get tossed into the compost. Thankfully, Cosentino's attention to whole foods doesn't stop with using the whole pig. It includes offering a daily changing menu based on what's freshest, and apparently whatever delicious dishes he dreamed up overnight. Together with a style palate and inspiration that comes straight from old-fashioned Italian comfort food, and you've got a dining experience that outclasses its off-the-beaten-path Upper Noe location, and many other more centrally located and pricier Italian restaurants in San Francisco. Plus, Italian wine pairings by an excellent sommelier, and a service staff that prides itself on menu knowledge and professionalism, make this place a great foodie destination. If you like to really know what you're eating, as well as really enjoy it, Incanto is the place.
