Les Bouchons is where the local French expats head to when they are craving steak frites and a glass of red. This cozy French bistro on popular night spot Club Street has only a handful of tables, its simple menu offering up a selection of cuts of meat in addition to other rustic French classics. Choose your steak and accompanying sauce, and the rest is decided for you – free flow of fries (some say the best in Singapore) and an accompanying side salad. The restaurant offers excellent value for money and as such you will need to book ahead. A second branch at Robertson Quay (Les Bouchons Rive Gauche) offers more of the same, its riverside setting providing its own charm.
