NileGuide Expert Says:
One of the best tapas bars in town.
5 Duxton Hill
This beautiful monochrome-tiled restaurant adorned with Spanish art opened in 2011 in the newly regenerated Duxton Hill enclave. The cosy narrow room features a 14 metre long counter with bar stools with an in-built refrigerator cabinet showcasing the day's selection of cold tapas. The constantly changing menu features fresh seasonal ingredients flown in directly from Spain, including premium jamon iberico bellota
, olives and salted bacalao
. Traditional favourites such as Tortilla Espanola con chorizo, Gambas Pil-Pil
and Patatas Bravas
are all featured on the menu, with a few more novel treats such as Vieras en Salsa de Cava
(sea scallops in sparkling white wine sauce) thrown in. Ideal for a casual evening of wine and tapas with a loved one or a group of friends.
