Link to blog about a NileGuide Local Expert's visit to NadzcaanOn the Map: Nadzcaan Archeological Zone is located at Latitude 18° 36' 30" N, Longitude 89° 50' 45" W in the Calakmul Biosphere Reserve.
How To Get There: On Highway 186 near the town of Conhuas, which is east of Xpujil, look for the Nadzcaan sign at Kilometer 96 and drive north 30-60 minutes, depending on the weather and the condition of the road.
Need to Know: High clearance 4WD needed. Machetes, axe, or chainsaw might be needed to remove fallen trees on this road.
Hours of Operation: Open to the public daily, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. No prior permission needed. If a guard is on site, give him 50-100 pesos.
