  • Some people come to Banff for the scenery. Some come for adventuring outdoors. Some come for the luxury. Some for the reputation. Whatever the reason is for coming to Banff, there are a lot of attractions in Banff to look forward to experiencing. Banff has a lot of natural, artistic, and historic attractions, both in the town and in the National Park.

Moraine Lake and Lake Louise are both world-famous, Canadian icons. They are symbolic of the spirit of our nation: vast, beautiful, rugged, and approachable. The Valley of the Ten Peaks, which frames Moraine Lake, is picturesque. There are few, if any, spots on earth more breathtaking. Likewise, Lake Louise with the Victoria Glacier behind it is a jewel in Canada's crown. Nearby the Lake Louise Ski Area is world-famous for its terrain and the annual World Cup races it hosts.

The Banff Springs Golf Course is world-famous, as well. Designed by Stanley Thompson, who is a legendary architect, it is one of the few Canadian courses to be featured on video games, such as Tiger Woods Golf, and to host significant tournaments and skins games. Not many courses can say that the majority of the gallery is made up of wild deer and elk.

The Banff Centre is the local art-hub in Banff. It hosts a number of traveling shows, many of which come to Banff after showing in Calgary, as well as local productions. The Banff Centre has a huge art gallery, as well, and the town's only fitness center.
