Kid Friendly Attractions in Banff

Kids don't typically enjoy going to museums and art gelleries. They probably don't care where you eat. If you asked them where to go shopping, they'd probably just want candy. But, children have amazing appetites for learning, adventure, and fun. Doing things out of the ordinary can open up their minds to new options and opportunities. Learning new skills can open doors for the rest of their lives. You might ignite a hidden passion. In Banff, a passion for the outdoors and a love for the environment are infectious.

Taking kids skiing can be an amazing experience. While it can try your patience as they learn the basics, watching them grow in confidence and skill is worth the effort. Skiing is one of the most challenging new skills to learn. But, it is also one of the best skills to master. Nothing else compares to the feeling of rushing down a mountain or taking a jump. Sunshine Village is a great place to learn how to ski. The bunny hill is perfect for new learners, and the ski school is staffed with fun, encouraging professionals. The Strawberry lift is great for young kids who are starting to get the hang of it all.

Taking the gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain is a fun ride, but it also gives you a chance to see the National Park from a bird's eye. There is no better place to see the mountains and the townsite than the top of Sulphur Mountain.

If you're in the town of Banff and need to get the wiggles out, a trip to the Upper Hot Springs is good, but the Sally Borden Fitness & Recreation center is also good. It has a pool, several gyms, and a work-out room. A public pool is a childhood favorite!
