The Best of NileGuide
- In Costa Rica, things to do are never in short supply. However long your visit may be, there are so many sights to see and activities to participate in it may only be difficult to decide what to do first. In a short amount of time, one can zipline through the rainforest, raft down the Rio Pacuare, climb around active Poas and Arenal volcanos, hike into the Manzanillo Gandoca Wildlife Refuge and surf the legendary waves of Salsa Brava. With more time, the possibilities are literally endless: explore virgin jungles, sport fish marlin and tuna, scuba dive coral reef, play with monkeys bird watch at dawn. Although the most popular things to do revolve around the outdoors and the superior tropical climate that makes Costa Rica an ideal destination for vacationing year round, there are also plenty of things to do that don't require much energy at all, such as a trip to the capital's National Theater, an architectural gem that dates back to the 19th century, a leisurely stroll through the many botanical gardens bursting with exotic flora and fauna, or a visit to Cafe Britt's coffee plantation for a taste of one of Costa Rica's richest resources. Even getting from place to place can be an exciting thing to do, especially if you decide to brave the winding roads yourself in a rental car. Whatever things you fancy to do, you'll find them, and more, in Costa Rica.
