Nature Attractions in Orlando

Orlando is more than just pixie dust and roller coasters. There are plenty of outdoor activities to be discovered. Drive past wetlands on the way to Wekiwa Springs State Park, bask among bright-winged birds and sweet-almond plants at Discovery Cove or take a gander at the award-winning camellias at Harry P. Leu Gardens. We've summed up a few stellar choices below. One of my hands-down favorites is Discovery Cove where you can snag some one-on-one time with Flipper and friends. It is a quiet respite since they only allow 1,000 guests a day. In fact, when I walked in, I felt like I had the place to myself. For more animal interaction, head to Forever Florida, a 4,700-acre wildlife conservation haven that offers everything from a Rawhide Roundup to camping to ziplining excursions.
