Reno locals are more than happy to recommend their favorite restaurants, and a few of them might be places that you never thought you would see in Reno. These run the gamut from greasy spoons to five star delights.
For a night out on the town, head to
Beaujolais Bistro in the Reno Arts District for some excellent French bistro food and wine, or over to the
4th Street Bistro for organic, local cuisine in a French Country style.
Local vegetarians will send you to the
Pneumatic Diner for some fun vegetarian specials, vegan food and baked goods while the meat eaters will tell you to pick up an Awful Awful Burger at the
Little Nugget downtown. A few deli places like
Paisan's, the
Rubicon and
Rose's sandwiches may be recommended for lunch, while
Peg's Glorified Ham & Eggs and
My Favorite Muffin will be recommended for breakfast.
Locals will visit the casinos for a great meal too, and what will top the list is
Toucan Charlie's at the Atlantis,
John's Oyster Bar at the Nugget and
Sterling's at the Silver Legacy. It's hard to go wrong with these long-time local favorites.
