There are lots of "cool" things to do in Tel Aviv; things you can do at home and things you can't. There are rooftop bars for nighttime drinking with a view, pool halls where the crowd looks like a crowd who likes pool, a kabbalah center to learn ways to happiness, old world shuks to buy a variety of souvenirs, surf lessons, stay at a kibbutz, paddle boat in a river, rock climbing on the beach or on a wall in Hayarkon Park, cooking lessons, the list goes on. Tel Aviv is home to only 400,000 people and yet it's like a homing device for people all over the world because there are just so many cool things to do here.
