  • Hong Kong Vietnamese Restaurants for some aren't really Vietnamese, rather they taste like Chinese food to some and for some its the Chinese interpretation of Vietnamese food rather than the real deal that you would find on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City.

Lo Chiu Vietnamese restaurant has got to be the best in Hong Kong for Vietnamese, its famous and people have been queuing outside Lo Chiu for years and years on and the food is consistent, the curry is delicious and the broth for pho is a secret recipe.

Nha Trang has more of a Westernised feel to it both in terms of service and clientele, its not cheap but for authenticity, Nha Trang is a favourite for the Slightly chewy sticky rice mixed with buttery mung beans, toasted sesame seeds and fried shallot with a hint of coconut juice. The Broken rice is imported from Vietnam and you can find barbecued Cha Hanoi too.

The quality ingredients and killer view dining at Golden Bull justifies charging the exorbitant prices and small portions it serves.

Yummy Vietnamese Restaurant is actually run by a local Hong Kong team but that doesn't mean that this Vietnamese restaurant in Hong Kong isn't authentic. Yummy Vietnamese Restaurant is probably only frequented by regulars seeing that their location is so discreet is offbeat.

Viet's choice is a Vietnamese restaurant chain in Hong Kong with standardised service and consistent tastes that are adapted for Chinese than anyone else. Their beef pho and the broth is consistent though and offers very good value for money meals that you'll be happy with.

Both Perfume River Vietnamese Restaurant and Saigon serve excellent staples and chances are if you like them then you'll like the Old Captain Restaurant for their buttered chicken wings, Vietnamese spring rolls and sour preserved plum cocktails.

Its not everyday that you stumble across fast food food courts like the one in the Langham Place Mong Kok where Cambo Cafeteria serves exceptionally good beef and Hainanese Chicken rice that you'll find it hard to believe its fast food.

Whats the deal with French baguettes and Vietnamese cuisine in Hong Kong? Tim Kee French sandwiches are far from the real French sandwich but the salad is homemade and so it the sauce and in the end you have a really tasty French Vietnamese fusion sandwich with chopped ham, pickles, bacon and Vietnamese fish sauce.
