  • If looking for a great beach vacation on Maui, look no further than the beach towns of Kihei and Wailea, located on the southern coast of Maui, Kihei does not really offer too many high-end resort options, so most visitors opt to stay in Wailea, and drive a short 5 minutes into the more local beach town of Kihei.

    Some of Wailea's top resort options include the Four Seasons, Grand Wailea, and Kea Lani. The Polo Beach Club is a little lesser-known option which has a stunning location in front of a secluded beach lagoon.

    If looking to actually stay in Kihei, your best bet is to search sites like HomeAway.com or VRBO.com for vacation rental options. There are many condominium communities in Kihei, where each condo is privately owned, however rented out as a time share or vacation rental. The Kihei Bay Surf and Kihei Kai Nani are two great vacation rental options.
